The last day in Toronto started bright and early with our last full breakfast at 8am. This was missed by many, as the hours were beginning to catch up and we didn’t need to check out of the hotel until 11am. This soon arrived, with all bags packed which seemed somewhat fuller than when we first arrived and some how there seemed to be more!
As we got on our way we headed again back up the highway bound for the ground we didn’t make it to on Monday. This was a very relaxed quiet journey as Andy Brown supplied us with a Jonah Lubo DVD to play en route.
As we arrived as the Brantford Harlequins ground we were greeted by open fields and a rugby club that seemed to be in the middle of no-where - This soon changed! As we reversed down the drive St. Johns College arrived with lads that towered over ours and look somewhat bigger followed by what seemed the whole neighbourhood! This didn’t put the Widden lads off and they quickly changed and began warming up.
Once full prepared the game got under way, St. Johns College unfortunately had the upper hand straight away putting over a try in the very first minutes. Widden soon came back now stronger, up for a fight and again increasing the tempo of the game. The score was soon equalled and the game was anybody’s. Widden always seemed the weaker side but this maybe due to the fact the lads were a lot bigger, a school year older and a shocking referee!
Anyhow the game went on with St. Johns College leading into the second half but Widden were not far behind. The second half Widden were proving to be the stronger side showing better basic knowledge of the game but less aggression and pure strength. At full time the game was very unfortunately lost 27-20 but if the referee knew the laws of the game Widden would have had a stronger chance of coming out on top.
As the rain was pouring all supporters clambered onto the coach waiting for the lads to transfer over to the college for the hospitality. On arrival the lads grabbed a quick shower before sitting between the opposition and enjoying pizza and the presentations.

We soon got on our way to Niagara which took just over an hour, following check in everyone was pleased to find out they had luxury room over looking the falls. The team then all went their separate ways to eat and finish the day with a bang with fireworks over the falls.
