Day 1: Ashbury College's First Trip to City CentreSunday, March 15. 2009

 After a long day of travelling yesterday, the girls finally arrived in Dublin! Rest was needed so the girls slept for a short while before boarding the coach for a trip to the Guinness Storehouse in the City Centre of Dublin. This was a favourite among many and plenty of presents were purchased in the gift shop. Luckily, the weather was good so the view from the Gravity Bar at the very top of the Storehouse was spectacular in the sunlight.  Then onto The Book of Kells at the Trinity College not far from the Storehouse. As this exhibit is quite small, many of the girls went on to do a bit of shopping on the busy strip, Grafton Street. A couple of hours of retail therapy seemed to be just what the doctor ordered. After waiting for a few late arrivals back at the coach (no names mentioned!) it was back to the hotel for the evening meal. An early start in the morning means the girls are getting an early night tonight before they venture into the City Centre again for some sightseeing. Let’s hope the anticipation of tomorrows big game against Enniskillen RFC doesn’t keep them from their sleep!

Glad the trip is going so well and that the rugby competition is pretty evenly matched so far! Nice to hear that SI had a good game - and has the battle scars to show for it!!
